Study Chapter 1: After Earth Day, “Environmental Politics and Policy”, 10e (Walter A Rosenbaum, 2017), write a reflection journal to address the following subjects/areas:
Review “The Evolution of U.S. Environmentalism” pg. 9-16 : Describe the evolution process of US environmentalism from Nixon Administration (1970s) to Obama Administration (till 2017) covered in textbook; analyze its transformation influenced by U.S. environmental politics from 1970s to 2022*
*Research/supplementary readings may be needed to learn US environmental politics from 2018-2022 (Trump Administration and Biden Administration) since the textbook does not cover it.
Review “Ongoing Challenges: Present and Future” pg. 16-19: Specify and explain the challenges how to (a) keep environmentalism contemporary, (b) modernize environmental laws, and (c) evolve science and technology for environmental management; use an example to explain environment policy implementation issues in the United States
