tasks is to select an article that can serve as an example of good writing for participants, specifically in terms
of argumentation and evidence. Write 700 words

2. Seah, Elgin. (2021, Sep 20). Making The Case for a Wealth Tax in Singapore. Rice Media

Making The Case for a Wealth Tax in Singapore

Perform a close reading of both articles and conduct a comparative analysis to see which has stronger
arguments and better evidence. Once you have finished your analysis, write a memo to the panel of judges
to persuade them which of these two articles is better written, making sure to explain fully why you think it
has stronger arguments and better evidence.
PLease note that just need to compare the articles ….I have chosen this as a start and attached an example of smtg that was done before that had a grade A.
In the two articles, authors Seah and Mokhtar made claims that the wealthy should be taxed to fill the gap of inequality. Seah went straight into making his argument on why this issue needs to be addressed, whereas Mokhtar highlighted the current situation of wealth inequality in Singapore. Therefore, the article by Seah is a better suited example for participants as he demonstrated stronger arguments on why the wealthy need to be taxed and has better evidence quality.
