Review the final project case study and write a counseling approach paper. Develop a counseling approach for the client that is informed by the
counseling theories you have learned about in this course.
Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:
I. Provide a summary of the client’s case and the issues presented. What are the most pressing problem areas for this client?
II. Develop the integrated counseling approach you will use to address this client. Your approach must include all of the following elements:
A. Explain the counseling theories that would apply to this case and help you address different client needs.
B. Justify why you believe these counseling theories apply to this client’s needs. Support your response with specific examples and/or
research.
C. Explain the interventions, procedures, and techniques you would use in working with this client. For instance, if your approach for
this client includes cognitive behavioral therapy, you might complete a workbook on cognitive distortions and unhealthy behaviors.
III. Explain how the selected counseling theories have informed your approach. What about this individual client’s case called for the use of the
chosen theories over the use of others?
