In the wake of the 9/11 attacks, the landscape of terrorism in the U.S. has changed considerably, particularly for the citizenry. For this paper, you will select one of the following topics to explore further: (1) psychological impacts of 9/11 on U.S. citizens (e.g., stress, PTSD, psychological concerns more broadly); (2) risk perceptions; (3) economic impacts; or (4) racial profiling of Muslims in America. You also may propose a different topic for your research, but it must be approved by the professor prior to submitting your paper. Provide an overview (review) of the literature on the topic you have chosen and discuss the broader policy implications that you see with the topic. (NOTE: this is an academic paper so no first-person language should be used.)
Your paper should be a minimum of five (5) FULL pages, typed and double-spaced, excluding title page and references. Your paper also should include a minimum of five (5) peer-reviewed sources (e.g., journal articles, books, and/or government reports) and only one of these sources can be from your assigned readings (attached in files)
