Based on your experience,
(I will use a case of a 1 and a half year old female patient that came to the office with a diagnosis of OTITIS MEDIA OF RIGHT EAR).
Describe an interesting case or a case that you have never seen before.
(I will describe the case mentioned above – I have never seen it before because I have no experience in pediatrics).
Explain what you found challenging.
(Elaborate and make up things like since the patient is a baby and unable to express symtoms, etc.)
Explain what you would do differently from your Preceptor.
(I would try also a holistic approach and home remedies for the otitis media, give examples)
Explain the cultural differences you found challenging.
(Say that in this case you were lucky and there were not cultural differences as the patient and patient’s mother were from the same ethnicity as you, but elaborate on the importance of being culturally competent and give some examples as why is important , especially in the medical field and as a healthcare provider)>
