Think about the goal of teaching:
We want our learners to learn!
And for learners to learn, we need to have an effective classroom environment that promotes learning.
If teachers cannot manage a classroom, learning cannot take place.
Before responding to learner misbehaviour, teachers should ask themselves the following:
“What action will be the best choice in helping a learner move toward self-control?” (Savage & Savage, 2010, p.8). This calls for teachers to make rational decisions.
Based on the above, choose any one of the six (6) pillars of character and work out an activity to teach learners that particular value to help create a favourable learning environment.
