You have been assigned the responsibility of mastering a reading(s) to deliver a written report. It is important that you identify the main concepts and/or principles within the reading(s). Articles can be found on D2L under the weekly assignments. Articles are in parenthesis on the syllabus.
Firstly, review the selected article. Secondly, as you review the material, underline or otherwise note the ideas which seem important to you, then answer the following questions:
Identify the thesis, issue, or problem to be solved.
— List and briefly define major concepts developed in the reading.
Identify data and evidence upon which you base your reasoning.
Analyze and evaluate the major assumptions.
State whether you agree or not with the conclusions and/or assumptions made.
Draw your conclusions, solve problems, or formulate new arguments.
Some of the information and/or data in the articles might be outdated, therefore, research is required to ascertain current status/opinions. In addition to the article you choose, you must include at least one other source.
A double-spaced, 2-3 page critical analysis of the reading will be turned in for grading through the Assignment Module. References are required. Use MLA or APA format. The article will be a Brave Warrior by Karen Coody Cooper.
